Okunuki Kaoru Biography

Born in Tokyo in 1970. Okukuni made her acting debut in the 1989 film “Battle Heate ”. Since then her career has been multi-faceted, including work in television, film and commercials. Even though she was surrounded by fiercely individualistic actors in the 1997 film “Radio no Jikan”, she carried through with a strong performance as the cute assistant producer. That same year she appeared in the NTV serial drama “Koi no Vacance”, television drama programs. In 2000, she entered fully into a period role in the Television Asahi serial drama “Nekketsu Shusaku ga yuku”, showing yet other faces of her considerable and fascinating talent. In 2001, she appears in her first lead role in “Yochien Game- Ojuken shimasu! ”. She has handled this first experience at a powerful role with no problems, breaking new ground in her ongoing career development. In 2005, she appeared in lots of works including the movie “Curtaincall” by Kiyoshi Sasabe, and TV series “Umizaru” and “Aibou”. She was also cast as Orga in “San-nin-shimai” produced by Robert Allan Ackerman in 2004 and broke new ground. --Official site
